What to Bring

Forms

Please complete forms to bring with you to school. Everyone must agree to and sign the school standards form. One medical waiver can be submitted for each family. Anyone bringing a child who is not either a close family relation (parent, grandparent, aunt/uncle) must complete the Sponsorship of Minor form as well. 

For your enjoyment at school

Seabeck provides bedding and 1 bath towel per guest. 

Necessary Items:

  • Extra shower and bathroom towels 
  • ALL toiletries including shampoo, conditioner, body soap, hairbrush, toothbrush, toothpaste, personal effects, hairdryer, etc.
  • Personal/Family First Aid Kit (Bandages, Neosporin, Alcohol wipes, etc.)
  • Sanitizing Items (hand sanitizer, disinfecting wipes, etc.)
  • All Personal Medications
  • Flashlights and extra batteries
  • Refillable water bottles for the whole family
  • Reusable Coffee/Tea Mugs
  • Shoe Recommendations and Requirements - Please note our new policy due to the sharp shells on the beach and in the swimming area.
    • Running/hiking shoes 
    • Flip flops for housing that has shared showers
    • Sturdy, protective, full covering shoes are required for participating at the beach. 
    • Full covering water shoes for swimming activities. (Fully closed water shoes are required for participation in swimming.)
  • Rain jackets & extra sweaters as the temperature does drop at nighttime
  • Prayer Books
  • Bug Spray
  • Beach Towels (These are NOT provided by Seabeck and we cannot use the provided bathroom towels for beach or water play.)
  • Sunblock/Sunscreen and hats
  • Extra Snacks, Tea, and Coffee for your personal use. 

Modest Clothing – We ask that participants please adhere to the high standards of our blessed Faith by wearing clothing that is modest in nature. Please refrain from wearing the following:

  • Cami’s or spaghetti strap tank tops 
  • Crop, half-shirts, or muscle shirts
  • Short shorts/skirts/dresses
  • Bikinis (please pack modest swim suits only)

(Tea, coffee, and light morning snacks will be provided this year.  If your children benefit from an afternoon snack, we recommend packing something appropriate. Don’t forget any plates/cups/cutlery you may need for your personal use.)

We Encourage You To Bring:

  • Fans are recommended if the weather forecast calls for warmer weather. 
  • Quiet games (non-electronic) for kids during down times
  • A journal and pen
  • Reading material for down-time and before bed
  • Musical instruments (There will be an Open Mic during the evenings, as well as many other opportunities to share music at the summer school.)

Other Suggested/Optional Items:

  • Camping chairs (If you have extra, please consider bringing extra to share.)
  • Laundry Detergent - Seabeck does have washers and dryers on site for our use. They are located next to Huckleberry and in Pines.
  • Picnic blanket or similar for sitting outside during rec time or free time
  • Yoga mat or similar item if you plan to attend the sound bath art class (if offered)
  • Extra room to take home art class creations
  • Recreational Equipment (tennis rackets/balls, soccer balls, football, frisbee, etc.)

Sporting Activities Available at Seabeck: Basketball, soccer, volleyball, tetherball, horseshoes, ping pong, foosball, slip-n-slide, and tennis courts.

The following are not allowed at summer school:

  • Drugs or Alcohol
  • Firearms
  • Martial arts items
  • Pets
  • iPads, electronic toys or games, radios, TVs
  • Computers (except laptops for adult work purposes only)
  • Bikes, scooters, skateboards
